Golf Courses
St. Croix National is a real gem. This was the first time that I played the course and I am definitely coming back and bringing my friends. The greens were the best I have seen in the area by far in the Twin Cities market. The layout is fair but challenging. Even though standing on the tee box can have you scratching your head, you find that your shot is still in a position to reach the green. The terrain has many changes and I can only imagine how beautiful it looks in fall colors.
St. Croix National Golf Course is an amazing course that is tucked away in the hills and forest of Somerset, Wisconsin. As you pull up to the course the road leading up to the parking lot gives you a glimpse of what lies ahead; rolling hills and magnificently manicured fairways with strategically placed bunkers. The staff was great as soon as we walked in the door; the practice tee (driving range) overlooks a 200+ft drop off. You won¿t be able to get your distance, but it will help you with your control. The greens were in the best condition I have ever seen this time of year (late spring). It was a challenging course that offered some of the most beautiful tee box views you could ever imagine. Everything at this course was done at a private course level, but at public prices. Definitely play this course.
